This is a refurbished Cisco ISR4321-V/K9, the voice bundle of the entry model in Cisco's 4000 Series Integrated Services Router family, supplied with a PVDM4-32 DSP module fitted on the motherboard. Our SKU for this configuration is RTR-CISCO-ISR4321V-PVDM4-32. The router has two Gigabit Ethernet ports, runs Cisco IOS XE and supports Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CME), so one compact unit can route branch traffic and handle local call processing. The PVDM4-32 adds dedicated DSP resources for VoIP, SIP and analogue voice gateway work, such as connecting an office phone system to a SIP provider or to analogue lines through voice interface modules. The two Gigabit Ethernet ports are routed interfaces for WAN and LAN connections. Installation

Make the first configuration through the console port, then set up the WAN interface, routing and management access before adding voice services. Confirm that the PVDM4-32 is detected with the show inventory command and that its DSP resources are available to the voice configuration. Analogue phones, fax machines or telephone lines need a voice interface module in one of the NIM slots, because the two Ethernet ports carry data only. For SIP trunking or IP handsets, apply quality of service on the WAN link so voice traffic is prioritised over general data.
