Refurbished Dell Latitude 5490 14 inch business laptop, SKU LAP-DELL-5490-I7-8G-256SSD, with Intel Core i7, 8 GB DDR4 and 256 GB SSD.
The Dell Latitude 5490 is a 14 inch business laptop from Dell's Latitude 5000 series, introduced in 2018 for corporate fleets. This refurbished unit, SKU LAP-DELL-5490-I7-8G-256SSD, is fitted with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB of DDR4 memory, a 256 GB SSD and integrated Intel graphics. WiFi and Bluetooth handle wireless connections, and USB 3.0 and HDMI ports cover accessories and an external monitor. It is bought by companies, schools and home users in Qatar who want a proven business laptop for office and study work without paying for a new machine. The 5490 is a common fleet model, so it suits buyers adding seats alongside existing Latitude units. It has two memory slots and an M.2 SSD slot, so the 8 GB configuration can be extended later. Units are prepared in Doha for local business and education buyers.
LAP-DELL-5490-I7-8G-256SSDFull configuration
The first rows describe this unit as fitted. The Latitude 5490 was offered with 7th and 8th generation Intel Core U-series processors, and the platform rows that follow apply across the model, which matters when you plan a memory upgrade or a second display.
What this configuration suits
Compare the workload you have in mind against the fitted components.
The Core i7 with 8 GB of DDR4 and a 256 GB SSD handles standard office work comfortably: email, documents, spreadsheets, web applications and video calls on Teams or Zoom. The SSD keeps boot and application load times short compared with older hard drive laptops.
It suits students and staff who move between desk and meeting room, since the 14 inch size is easy to carry while still giving a usable screen. The HDMI port connects a meeting room display or a second monitor at the desk.
For heavier multitasking, such as many browser tabs alongside large spreadsheets, adding a second 8 GB SO-DIMM to reach 16 GB is the usual first upgrade. It is not intended for 3D, CAD or video editing work, where integrated graphics limit performance.

Why buy refurbished
Enterprise hardware, tested in Doha, at a fraction of the price of new
Every unit we sell has already proven itself in a data centre. We test it again, grade it, and back it with a warranty before it leaves our stock.
Tested before it ships
POST, burn-in, memory and power-supply checks on every unit. Anything that fails is repaired or pulled from stock, not sold.
Same performance, lower cost
A Xeon runs the same workloads whether it is new or two years old. Spend the difference on more CPUs, memory or storage.
In stock, not on order
New enterprise hardware can take weeks or months to arrive. Ours is on the shelf in Doha and delivered across Qatar within a day.
Warranty and local support
Every unit is covered. Installation, configuration and hardware support are handled by our own team in Qatar, not a call centre abroad.
