This is a refurbished Dell PowerEdge R640, stocked under SKU SRV-DELL-R640-6138x2-32GB-2.4TB-10SFF. The R640 is Dell's 1U, two-socket rack server from the 14th generation PowerEdge line, built on the Intel Xeon Scalable platform. This unit is the 10SFF chassis, with ten 2.5 inch hot-plug bays at the front. It is fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 6138 processors (20 cores each, 40 cores in total), 32 GB of DDR4 ECC RDIMM memory and two 1.2 TB 10K SAS hard drives, giving 2.4 TB raw. The configuration puts most of its value in the processors, so it suits buyers who want high core counts in 1U and plan to add memory and drives to match their workload.
