Refurbished · Tested
Dell 950W power supply D950EF-00 for Precision T5820 and T7820 workstations, an internal high efficiency ATX form power module, refurbished.
The D950EF-00 is the 950W internal power supply Dell fits to Precision T5820 and T7820 tower workstations, the higher of the two ratings offered for those chassis and the one required for dual processor T7820 builds and for the larger graphics cards. It is a workstation grade ATX form power module that slides into the chassis power bay and connects through Dell's internal harness. It is refurbished and sold as the bare unit. Buyers in Qatar fit it to replace a failed supply or to upgrade a T5820 or T7820 that shipped with the lower rated supply before adding a second processor or a high wattage graphics card. ServerDove keeps it in Doha stock alongside its Precision barebones.
PSU-DELL-950W-D950EF00Will it fit my system?
| System | Generation | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Dell Precision T5820 | Single socket LGA2066 tower | Higher rated supply option |
| Dell Precision T7820 | Dual socket LGA3647 tower | Required for dual processor and dual graphics builds |
Buyers of ServerDove's T7820 workstations and barebones can add this supply from the same stock when a build outgrows the original unit. The 950W rating also gives headroom for future graphics cards, which draw more with each generation, so it is the sensible choice whenever a Precision chassis is opened for a supply change.
Specification
Dell's Precision supplies are not standard ATX units despite the form: the connector layout is Dell's own and the unit slides into a bay at the top of the chassis, engaging a connector on the system board, so a retail ATX supply cannot replace it. Nine hundred and fifty watts covers two 165W processors, two professional graphics cards and a full drive complement in a T7820.
Installation
Unplug the workstation and open the side panel. The supply sits in a bay at the rear top of the chassis: release its latch, slide the old unit out, slide the D950EF-00 in until the connector engages and the latch clicks, and close the panel. No cables need to be moved, since the supply connects through the chassis harness. Reconnect mains and check the diagnostic light on the supply shows normal.

Why buy refurbished
Enterprise hardware, tested in Doha, at a fraction of the price of new
Every unit we sell has already proven itself in a data centre. We test it again, grade it, and back it with a warranty before it leaves our stock.
Tested before it ships
POST, burn-in, memory and power-supply checks on every unit. Anything that fails is repaired or pulled from stock, not sold.
Same performance, lower cost
A Xeon runs the same workloads whether it is new or two years old. Spend the difference on more CPUs, memory or storage.
In stock, not on order
New enterprise hardware can take weeks or months to arrive. Ours is on the shelf in Doha and delivered across Qatar within a day.
Warranty and local support
Every unit is covered. Installation, configuration and hardware support are handled by our own team in Qatar, not a call centre abroad.
