What you need to add
The chassis arrives without compute, memory or storage. Plan the build around the workload, and fit one or two processors before choosing memory, because each CPU controls its own 12 DIMM slots.
- One or two Intel Xeon Scalable processors (LGA3647) with matching Gen10 heatsinks
- DDR4 ECC registered memory (RDIMM or LRDIMM, do not mix the two)
- 2.5 inch SAS, SATA or SSD drives in HPE SFF SmartDrive carriers
- An HPE Smart Array controller if you need hardware RAID or SAS drive support
- A FlexibleLOM or PCIe network adapter for data networking
- One or two HPE Flexible Slot power supplies of the same wattage
Populate memory evenly across the six channels of each processor for best bandwidth. A single processor build only uses the DIMM slots and PCIe slots attached to CPU 1.
Compatibility
Drives fit in HPE SFF SmartDrive carriers, the carrier type used across ProLiant Gen8, Gen9 and Gen10 SFF bays. Older Gen7 carriers do not fit. Memory must be DDR4 ECC registered; unbuffered desktop DIMMs will not work. Processors must be LGA3647 Xeon Scalable parts, and both sockets need the same processor model in a dual-CPU build. Power supplies must be HPE Flexible Slot units, and a redundant pair must share the same wattage. Mixing first and second generation Xeon Scalable processors in one server is not supported.

What does refurbished mean at ServerDove?
Off-lease or decommissioned enterprise hardware that we clean, test and reset in Doha. Every unit goes through POST, burn-in, memory and drive checks and a power-supply check, with firmware and BIOS returned to defaults and drives securely erased.

How fast is delivery in Qatar?
Orders ship from Doha and arrive within one working day anywhere in Qatar. Delivery is free on orders over QAR 300.
