This Micron 8GB DDR4 ECC Registered DIMM at 2133MT/s is the smallest server module of its generation, which makes it the economical way to populate memory channels rather than to add capacity. A 13th generation server with four channels per processor runs fastest with a module in every channel, and eight of these give a dual socket server 64GB in a balanced layout. It is a 288 pin RDIMM to the PC4-2133 specification for Intel Xeon E5 v3 and v4 servers from Dell PowerEdge and HPE ProLiant. Do not mix RDIMMs with LRDIMMs. Press each module down until the clips lock, then verify the total and speed in the BIOS at first boot; a module that is not recognised is usually one that is not fully seated.
