New
Samsung 16GB DDR4-2666 ECC unbuffered DIMM, part M391A2K43BB1, for Xeon E-2100 and E-2200 entry servers and workstations.
This is a refurbished Samsung 16GB DDR4 memory module, Samsung part number M391A2K43BB1, built as an unbuffered DIMM with ECC and rated at 2666 MT/s (PC4-21300). It belongs to entry single-socket servers and workstations whose memory controllers take ECC UDIMMs rather than registered modules. The main platforms are Intel Xeon E-2100 and E-2200 systems, where 2666 MT/s is the rated memory speed, so the module runs at full speed there. Buyers in Doha and across Qatar fit it to small office file servers, domain controllers, branch site hosts, small virtualisation hosts and CAD workstations. These machines run for long periods and benefit from ECC correcting single-bit errors before they reach the operating system or application data. It is also the module to add when expanding a Dell PowerEdge T140 or R240 beyond its base memory. Serverdove lists it as SKU SD-RAM-SAM-16G-2666-ECCUDIMM.
SD-RAM-SAM-16G-2666-ECCUDIMMWill it fit my system?
Dell's entry PowerEdge models from the Xeon E-2100 generation take DDR4 ECC unbuffered memory at up to 2666 MT/s, which is the type and speed of this module.
| Server | Generation | Note |
|---|---|---|
| PowerEdge T140 | 14th generation | DDR4 ECC UDIMM, up to 2666 MT/s |
| PowerEdge T340 | 14th generation | DDR4 ECC UDIMM, up to 2666 MT/s |
| PowerEdge R240 | 14th generation | DDR4 ECC UDIMM, up to 2666 MT/s |
| PowerEdge R340 | 14th generation | DDR4 ECC UDIMM, up to 2666 MT/s |
These servers do not support mixing UDIMMs with RDIMMs. Follow the server's population rules for the number of modules and ranks per channel.
Specification
The module is a standard JEDEC DDR4 ECC UDIMM. In a board rated below 2666 MT/s, such as a Xeon E3-1200 v6 system, it runs at the platform's maximum supported speed. When modules of different speeds are mixed, all of them run at the speed of the slowest.
ECC only works when both the processor and the motherboard support it. Many consumer Intel Core boards either reject ECC UDIMMs or ignore the error correction.
Installation
Memory cannot be changed with the system running, so power the machine off completely and unplug it from the mains before you start. Discharge static, open the clips on the chosen slot and align the notch on the module with the key in the slot, which accepts a DDR4 DIMM in one orientation only. Press down evenly on both ends until the clips close on their own. On Xeon E-2100 and E-2200 boards, fill channels evenly, normally with identical modules installed as a matched pair, one per channel, in the slot order given in the system manual, so the platform runs in dual-channel mode.

Ask on WhatsApp sales@serverdove.comWhat is the difference between ECC UDIMM and RDIMM?
An ECC UDIMM is unbuffered: the memory controller drives the DRAM chips directly. An RDIMM adds a register chip that buffers address and command signals. This lets RDIMMs scale to higher capacities and more modules per channel. The two types are not interchangeable and cannot be mixed. Entry servers such as Xeon E-2100 and E-2200 systems take UDIMMs, while dual-socket Xeon Scalable servers take RDIMMs.
Will this module work in a standard desktop PC?
It depends on the platform. Many consumer Intel Core boards will not accept ECC UDIMMs, or ignore the ECC function if they do. Error correction only works when both the processor and the motherboard support ECC. Check the board's qualified memory list or specification sheet for ECC UDIMM support before using it outside a server or workstation.
Can I use a DDR4-2666 module in a system rated for 2400 MT/s?
Yes, in a platform that takes DDR4 ECC UDIMMs. DDR4 modules run at the highest speed both the module and the memory controller support. In a Xeon E3-1200 v6 system, for example, the module would run at the platform's supported speed rather than 2666 MT/s. When mixing modules of different speeds, all of them run at the speed of the slowest.
Does this module fit Dell PowerEdge T140 or R240 servers?
The PowerEdge T140, T340, R240 and R340 use DDR4 ECC unbuffered memory at up to 2666 MT/s, which is the type and speed of this module. Check the server's memory population rules for the number of modules and ranks per channel. Mixing UDIMMs with RDIMMs is not supported on these systems.
What voltage does this memory run at?
As a standard DDR4 module, it operates at 1.2 V, the JEDEC voltage for DDR4. No manual voltage adjustment is needed in the BIOS or UEFI. Server and workstation boards that support DDR4 ECC UDIMMs set this automatically from the module's SPD data at start-up.
How many pins does this module have, and will it fit a DDR3 slot?
It is a 288-pin DDR4 DIMM. It will not fit DDR3 slots, which use 240 pins and a different key notch position. DDR4 is also electrically incompatible with DDR3 and DDR5 platforms. The board must have DDR4 slots and support unbuffered ECC memory.
How should modules be installed for best performance?
Populate channels evenly so the platform can run in dual-channel mode. On Xeon E-2100 and E-2200 systems this usually means installing modules in matched pairs, one per channel, in the slots the manufacturer specifies. Using identical modules in each channel avoids speed or rank mismatches. The server or motherboard manual lists the correct slot order.
What does refurbished mean at ServerDove?
Off-lease or decommissioned enterprise hardware that we clean, test and reset in Doha. Every unit goes through POST, burn-in, memory and drive checks and a power-supply check, with firmware and BIOS returned to defaults and drives securely erased.
Can I ask about the exact unit before I buy?
Yes. Message us the SKU on WhatsApp and we will confirm the condition and configuration of the unit in stock, with photos if you want them.

Why buy refurbished
Enterprise hardware, tested in Doha, at a fraction of the price of new
Every unit we sell has already proven itself in a data centre. We test it again, grade it, and back it with a warranty before it leaves our stock.
Tested before it ships
POST, burn-in, memory and power-supply checks on every unit. Anything that fails is repaired or pulled from stock, not sold.
Same performance, lower cost
A Xeon runs the same workloads whether it is new or two years old. Spend the difference on more CPUs, memory or storage.
In stock, not on order
New enterprise hardware can take weeks or months to arrive. Ours is on the shelf in Doha and delivered across Qatar within a day.
Warranty and local support
Every unit is covered. Installation, configuration and hardware support are handled by our own team in Qatar, not a call centre abroad.
