The WD40EFRX is the 4TB member of Western Digital's Red line, the drives designed for network attached storage: rated for continuous operation in enclosures of up to eight bays, with firmware tuned for RAID so that error recovery does not stall an array, and a 5400 rpm class spindle that keeps power and noise low. It is a 3.5 inch SATA 6Gb/s drive and the same model ServerDove fits to its QNAP NAS units.
