Most PERC controllers do not allow SAS and SATA drives in the same virtual disk, and mixing SSDs with hard disks in one array is normally blocked or not recommended. When replacing spinning disks, build a separate SSD virtual disk or replace every member of the array with SSDs. A replacement for a failed array member should be the same capacity or larger.
