RAID Levels Explained: RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for Business Servers

Next-generation firewall appliances from Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks for offices and branch sites, held in Doha and delivered across Qatar. Choose by throughput with security features switched on, user count and interfaces.
This range covers next-generation firewall appliances for small offices, branches and remote sites, from Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto Networks PA-Series. A next-generation firewall does more than block ports. It identifies applications, inspects traffic for threats, filters web access and terminates VPN tunnels for remote staff and other sites.
They suit businesses that rely on an ISP router as their only defence, IT teams standardising security across branches, and integrators who need a known appliance quickly in Qatar. ServerDove supplies both new and refurbished hardware, and refurbished units are tested before they are listed.
| Fortinet FortiGate | Palo Alto PA-Series | |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | FortiOS | PAN-OS |
| Central management | FortiManager | Panorama |
| Security services | FortiGuard subscriptions | Palo Alto subscriptions |
Both do the job well at branch scale. The choice usually follows what your team already runs, because policies, skills and management tools do not carry across brands. See Fortinet firewalls and Palo Alto firewalls.
Threat signatures, web filtering, sandboxing and vendor support are subscriptions registered to the unit's serial number. Without them, the features that depend on them stop updating. Check the options, terms and, for a refurbished unit, how registration transfers, directly with the vendor before you order.
Firewalls ship from Doha stock, with delivery across Qatar typically in one day. Base configuration, racking and cabling are available as a service, and hardware is covered by the ServerDove warranty. For a model not listed, send your user count and line speed by WhatsApp +974 5521 2108, email sales@serverdove.com or the contact page.
Start with your internet line speed and the number of users and devices behind the firewall. Then look at the threat protection throughput in the datasheet, not the headline firewall figure, because inspection features cut throughput sharply. Add headroom for growth and check the unit has enough WAN and LAN ports. If in doubt, send the numbers and the team will suggest a model.
The hardware and the security subscriptions are separate. Features such as intrusion prevention, antivirus, web filtering and vendor support are licensed per unit by Fortinet or Palo Alto Networks. Check what is active on the unit you are buying, and confirm subscription options and terms with the vendor before you rely on them.
That is decided by the vendor, not the reseller. Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks each have their own rules for registering a unit that has had a previous owner and for buying new subscriptions on it. Confirm the position with the vendor for the exact model before ordering, especially if you need threat protection from day one.
A router moves traffic between networks. A next-generation firewall also routes, but its job is to decide what traffic is allowed, identify applications, inspect for threats and filter web access. Many small offices rely on the ISP router alone. A dedicated firewall adds security policies, VPN access for remote staff and visibility of what is crossing the network.
Both make capable branch firewalls. The practical deciding factor is usually what your team or integrator already manages, since configuration, training and central management tools are brand-specific. FortiGate runs FortiOS and is managed at scale with FortiManager. Palo Alto runs PAN-OS and uses Panorama. Mixing brands across sites is possible but doubles the management effort.
Yes. Base configuration, racking and cabling are available as a service. Share your internet connection details, the networks you need and any VPN requirements, and the team will quote the work alongside the hardware. More detailed security policy design should be agreed in the quote so both sides know exactly what is included.
