HPE ProLiant DL rack and ML tower servers across Gen8, Gen9 and Gen10, plus HPE StoreEasy storage servers, supplied barebone or configured and held in Doha for delivery across Qatar.
ProLiant is Hewlett Packard Enterprise's x86 server line. This range covers the DL160, DL360 and DL380 rack servers and the ML350 tower across the Gen8, Gen9 and Gen10 generations, together with HPE StoreEasy 1650 storage servers built for file sharing and backup.
It is for teams in Qatar that already run HPE, or prefer it, and want Smart Array RAID and iLO remote management on hardware sized to the job, from a single office tower to a rack of 1U virtualisation hosts.
DL servers are rack-mounted and ML servers are towers. Within the DL line the number sets the size and role.
| Model | Form | Typical role |
|---|---|---|
| DL160 | 1U rack | Value dual-socket server with fewer memory slots, for branch and light workloads |
| DL360 | 1U rack | Dense dual-socket host for virtualisation and application tiers |
| DL380 | 2U rack | More drive bays and PCIe slots for storage-heavy or expansion-heavy builds |
| ML350 | Tower | Dual-socket server for sites without a rack |
| StoreEasy 1650 | Storage server | File server and backup target with 3.5-inch bays |
Gen8 uses Xeon E5-2600 v1/v2 processors and DDR3 memory. Gen9 moves to Xeon E5-2600 v3/v4 and DDR4. Gen10 moves again to first and second generation Xeon Scalable processors, still on DDR4, with higher core counts and faster memory. For new production work the DL360 Gen10 and DL380 Gen10 are the natural choices, and the ML350 Gen10 brings the same platform to a tower. Gen9 and Gen8 servers cost less and suit labs, backup targets and smaller workloads.
ProLiant servers use HPE Smart Array controllers, such as the P440ar on Gen9 and the P408i-a on Gen10. iLO provides out-of-band power control, monitoring and firmware updates, and some remote console features need an iLO Advanced licence. The StoreEasy 1650 is a storage-focused system for teams that want a dedicated file server rather than a general-purpose host.
HPE servers ship from Doha with delivery across Qatar typically in one day. Refurbished units are tested before listing and covered by the ServerDove warranty, with extended cover quoted on request. Installation, racking and base configuration are available, and business customers can request a quotation for bulk orders.
Both are dual-socket ProLiant rack servers on the same platform within a generation. The DL360 is 1U and built for density. The DL380 is 2U, with more drive bays, more PCIe slots and room for larger cards. Choose the DL360 for virtualisation clusters and application servers, and the DL380 when storage capacity or expansion matters more than rack space.
Gen10 runs Xeon Scalable processors with more cores per socket and faster DDR4, and is the better choice for new production workloads. Gen9 runs Xeon E5-2600 v3/v4 and costs less, which makes it good value for smaller hosts, labs and backup servers. Both use DDR4, but memory speeds and supported modules differ, so plan upgrades within one generation.
The ML350 is a dual-socket tower server. It suits offices and branches that have no rack but need more than a desktop-class machine: file sharing, a domain controller, a small virtualisation host or line-of-business applications. It offers much of the capability of a rack server in a freestanding case.
StoreEasy is HPE's line of storage servers for file sharing and backup. The 1650 is built around 3.5-inch drive bays for capacity, which makes it a fit for departmental file shares, archives and backup targets. Each listing states the memory, drives and RAID included. Ask the team if you need help sizing the capacity.
That depends on the generation, drive carrier, backplane, Smart Array controller and memory type, and HPE changed several of these between generations. We do not assume compatibility. Send the server model and serial number with the parts you want to reuse, and the team will confirm before you order.
Yes. The team can complete a barebone with processors, memory and drives, set up the Smart Array RAID and install it in your rack, with cabling and base configuration. Request a quote by WhatsApp on +974 5521 2108, by email at sales@serverdove.com or through the contact page.
