It carries two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors, 14 cores at 2.40GHz each in LGA2011-3, 24GB of ECC RDIMM memory as six Micron 4GB DDR4-2400 modules, two HPE 1.2TB 10K SAS 12Gb/s 2.5 inch SFF enterprise hard drives on the H730 RAID controller, iDRAC remote management and two 750W redundant power supplies. With 28 cores, iDRAC and redundant power, this is a production grade 1U host for a business in Qatar: a virtualisation server for a mixed estate, a database server or an application cluster node. The HPE branded drives are standard 12Gb/s SAS units and run on the Dell controller like any other.

28 cores and 24GB of memory host a serious number of virtual machines, and redundant power with iDRAC makes it fit for an unattended rack. The mirrored 10K SAS pair on the cached H730 is a good system volume; virtual machine disks belong on added SSDs or shared storage.
Memory speed is set by the slowest module at 2400 MT/s, which is also the maximum for v4 processors, so nothing is lost there.
