Installation
The drive is not hot-pluggable, so shut the system down and disconnect power before fitting it. Check that the M.2 slot is wired for PCIe NVMe rather than SATA only, and that it accepts 80 mm modules; slots built only for 2230 or 2242 modules will not take it. Seat the module at an angle in the connector, press it flat and secure it with the retaining screw or latch, refitting any heatsink or thermal pad the chassis uses. To boot from the drive, the system firmware must support NVMe boot; otherwise it serves as a data drive. On a PCIe-to-M.2 adapter card, the card draws power from the PCIe slot and passes 3.3 V to the drive, so check slot clearance and whether chassis airflow calls for a heatsink on the adapter.

Yes. PCIe is backward compatible, so the drive operates in a Gen3 x4 M.2 slot, but the link runs at the Gen3 rate rather than Gen4. To get the full interface bandwidth the drive needs a slot and chipset that provide PCIe Gen4 x4 to the M.2 connector.
Is this drive SATA or NVMe?
It is NVMe only, over a PCIe Gen4 x4 link. It will not work in an M.2 slot that is wired solely for SATA. Check the system or motherboard documentation to confirm the M.2 slot supports PCIe NVMe devices before fitting it.
What is the difference between part numbers HFS002TEM9X152N and 0410DH?
