Generally yes. SAS controllers and SAS backplanes accept SATA drives, as the SAS standard is designed to support SATA devices. The reverse does not apply: a SAS drive cannot be connected to a SATA-only controller. Check your controller's documentation, as some RAID configurations do not allow SAS and SATA drives to be mixed in the same array.
Does the drive come with a server caddy or tray?
